Project Description

This project designed and constructed a new segment of Mountain View Corridor. It included a roadway and shared-use path through residential and commercial areas of West Valley City. The project added two miles of outside freeway lanes in both directions using both PCCP and HMA paving, 14 mainline bridges and seven pedestrian bridges, 200,000 SF of MSE walls and 750 LF of Box Culverts and extensive utility construction and coordination. A two mile shared use path was also built to add a safe space for walking, biking and other activities. Multiple access points were constructed to allow local users easy access to the path. The team also installed 35 decorative lamp posts according to city standards, as well as 110 trees as part of the project. The Mountain View Corridor Project won Utah Construction & Design’s Most Outstanding Highway Project over $10 Million in 2017.
